What would you do when you meet a woman with a snout and long ears? Yes, just like a pig. Most of us will run away, except for those who have a very high level of amusement. For many time, this condition happen to Penelope Wilhern (Christina Ricci). She was born with a pig's face thanks to her great great great grandfather, Leonard Wilhern. Leonard Wilhern has an affair with his servant, and soon, she was eating for two. However, he married a wealthy girl arranged by his family instead.


The servant jumped off the cliff and her mother cursed the Wilhern family; that the next girl born into the Wilhern family would look like a pig. The only way to break the curse is for Penelope to find "someone of her kind who loves her for who she is". And that she is Penelope. When she is old enough, Jessica, Penelope's mum begin a tireless search for a young man of equal standing to marry her daughter. But when she finally met him, Max (James McAvoy) is actually not the person who he says he is.


Why you should watch it:
  • A feel good movie flaunted by many strong cast and sure will leave you with a smile
  • Reese Witherspoon's first project as a leading producer as well as actress in the film
  • A good movie for all ages!
Why you should not watch it:
  • If you think a pig is a disgusting animal
  • You like to make fun off weirdos

Malaysia celebrates National Days on August, 31st each year, which actually was the date of Malaya or states of the Peninsular independence declaration made by Tunku Abdul Rahman. Malaysia was formed when Sabah and Sarawak united to the nation on 16th September 1963. Singapore was a part of Malaysia at the beginning, however on 9th August 1965, Singapore seceded from the federation and became an independent republic.

Whether its August 31st or September 16th, I think as Malaysian, both are important dates to remember. Despite the things you may disagree or dislike, after all Malaysia is a nice place to live, thus I think we should be thankful to what we have, be proud and love our own country.

Everyone is talking about Michael Phelps and his 8 wonders during Olympic 2008 in Beijing. It was reported 60 million viewers were tuning in one of those countless Olympic channel to watch him swimming. And guess who is jealous? Jennifer Lopez!
Lopez, who appeared on "Good Morning America" Aug. 18 to discuss her preparations for the Malibu Triathlon, was overheard saying after the segment that she “couldn’t understand why everyone is talking about that swimmer,” according to a GMA source. “She couldn’t come up with (eight-time gold-medal winner Michael) Phelps’ name, and then she yammered on about how she was the one training for a triathlon just six months after giving birth, and how that was the big story right now, not ‘the swimmer.’ ” - MSNBC
My God! Seriously. Sometimes one cannot help but to wonder how arrogant artist could be. Okay, let see some of Michael Phelps' facts:

  1. Water drinks Michael Phelps.
  2. Scientists recently discovered the cause for warmer sea temperature and melting icebergs happens every time Michael Phelps gets in the water.
  3. Michael Phelps’ sweat is consider a banned substance for other athletes. Too bad Michael Phelps never sweats.
  4. When Michael Phelps jumps into the pool, he isn’t making a splash; the water is just trying to get out of his way.
  5. Once, when Michael Phelps swam the Atlantic and came across mermaids, one said to him “I thought you were just a myth!”
  6. Ancient Greeks used to sacrifice 100 cows to Poseidon who would then turn around and sacrifice them to Michael Phelps.
  7. Michael Phelps does not swim like dolphins; dolphins swim like Michael Phelps.
  8. There is no need to save the whales, Michael Phelps has saved them all.
  9. When Michael Phelps goes water skiing he doesn’t use skis; or a boat.
  10. Every time you see a shooting star you are really watching Michael Phelps train in space.
And one wonders what J.Lo knows other than giving birth to a twin, making jeans that made your ass big and she will be joining Malibu Triathlon. Hurm... Phelps who? Pheww... Close race isn't it?

I love the irony of this water-color paint that I made last week. Even though you had the wing and you are ready to fly, you must also consider other things (such as the fact that your legs are cemented on the ground). So guys, in order to achieve the top most level in your life or in whatever thing that you persuade, may it social, corporate, self achievement ladder, do not forget to watch your surrounding (other people, your family and friends) in your way in doing it so.
